Do you need someone to proofread your French content — whether translated or original? Whether you’re publishing a novel, submitting a thesis or dissertation, or launching a website, my expertise as a French proofreader is here to assist you!
You’ve ended up here, but are you actually looking for an English-to-French translation? Great, because I’m also a translator. Let’s check that out!

No matter what kind of content you’re working on — a novel, brochure, website, or paper — when it comes to the final proofreading stage, it’s hard to step back and see your work from a fresh perspective. Words and sentences blend together, and you struggle to spot those sneaky typos.
But you know what? That’s completely normal and happens to everyone, literally! Think about all the hours you’ve spent writing, choosing the right words, searching for synonyms, and gathering research. How can you possibly distance yourself enough to review your work? That’s where a professional proofreader comes in! Entrusting a trained linguist to do this means no more stress: sit back and relax while your content is being polished!
Any questions about my French proofreader? If you don’t find what you’re looking for in the FAQ, email me — I’ll respond within 24 hours! :)
I won’t pretend that we don’t use software like Antidote and Grammarly. We do, right before the first read to catch the most obvious errors, so we can then focus on the more challenging ones using our extensive knowledge of French and its many rules (I see you, French) — and our endless online and paper resources, too. (Oh, and also our degrees!)
Proofreading isn’t just about catching missing “s” typos. A professional linguist ensures consistency throughout the entire text and that both form and content are flawless. If anything seems illogical, we’ll let you know. We focus or grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation, and content, always prioritizing consistency and quality!
As a professional reviewing your work, I pay close attention to your needs. Working together means building a relationship based on listening and clear communication. I’m here to collaborate and advise with kindness and professionalism (not to be overly assertive — unless you insist on erasing that mandatory “s,” maybe 👀).
Gwen completed a two-week internship with me. She was not only pleasant and cheerful, but also a quick responder as a translator (and proofreader), with a keen eye for detail and idiomatic sentences. During the simulation exercises I set up for her, she had no hesitation in asking relevant questions to deliver quality translations to the client. I recommend her services. Her specialty? Board games. If you need someone for your board game project, contact her. She’s an expert!
I had the pleasure of working with Gwendoline for the translation of a graphic novel, and I can’t stress enough how qualitative her work was. She worked both fast and conscientiously, met the deadline, and her translation flowed and was true to the original. I was convinced by her professionalism and diligence; if you need a meticulous translation, I do recommend her services.

Gwen is a very kind proofreader who is attentive to the author’s writing intent. She’s all about communication and collaboration. It’s a pleasure to work with her!

and you need a professional to go over your content one last time to make sure it's perfect.
and you need a second professional to review their translation.
and want a professional to ensure it’s flawless.

It depends on the number of characters, including letters, punctuation marks, and spaces. When you proofread a text, you pay attention to all of them—yes, even spaces!
Anything! Books, papers, thesis, dissertation, graphic novels, board games (my favorite!), social media posts—I can assist with all content types.
The first pass helps me catch typos and understand the context—subjects, characters, places, times, etc. After taking a break, the second pass confirms I didn’t miss anything in spelling, grammar, syntax, or punctuation.
Absolutely. Using Microsoft Word’s “track changes,” you can see every edit—what I’ve deleted, added, or altered. You can accept or reject each suggestion. I also include comments explaining changes, asking questions, or suggesting improvements.
